German in origin, Playmobil first took it's toy-like grip in the early 70's. From small beginnings (well, about 7cm) it was being sold globally by the mid 70's. Clearly direct competition with Lego, Playmobil figures are more 'lifelike' than their Lego equivalents and have a magical feel of realism in all their tiny little plastic exploits. This brand continues to go from strength to strength. Playmobil dinosaur sets are always massively popular as is the hospital set and the cool Dream Castle. There are two types of Playmobil submarine to choose from for some bath time fun and plenty of Zoo animals, zoo accessories and figures. Used Playmobil is easy to find, particularly at Ebay; and don't forget to visit the official Playmobil website for some great kids games. © www.toy-shelf.co.uk 2007-08 Home Contact Us About Us Disclaimer Caveat emptor ....
